Bassmaster Elite Series angler, Bob Downey, is here to share with us one of his favorite models in the new St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass series, the 7'3" Medium, Extra-Fast Power Finesse spinning rod, aka the "Power Finesse". What Bob loves most about this rod is the light and crisp feeling in-hand, which is difficult to do with a longer spinning rod. His favorite technique with this rod is a neko rig, with 10-pound braid and an 8-pound leader. The extra-fast tip is great for giving finesse baits that subtle quiver that triggers bites and is backed with a strong enough backbone to drive the hook through the fish's mouth on the hookset. The 7'3" length also allows for longer casts and the ability to pickup more line quickly on the hookset. Bob thinks this one will be a favorite of many anglers on the market for a new spinning rod, and so do we!
