For his Ned Rig setup, Brad likes making long casts into deep water, so he prefers using a longer rod that is sensitive enough to feel the bites. Brad still uses the standard 2500 size spinning reel while other anglers have made the switch to the 3000 or 4000 size, but we encourage you to go with what feels right and what you have the most confidence in. For line, a braided main line helps with feel and fishability and he adds a fluorocarbon leader when fishing in sparse vegetation or clearer water.
